Surge Collaborates

Surge has a track record and commitment to producing collaborative projects that bring diverse cultural communities together.

Artistic Director Sid Peacock has extensive experience of working with a wide range of people and communities to develop and express creativity throughout their life. From youth and community projects across UK with an emphasis on disadvantaged communities and delivering Peace & Reconciliation projects in Northern Ireland, to work with communities from conflict environments with Refugee Arts Organisation Celebrating Sanctuary. Coming from a working class background Sid has developed a successful international career and pursued formal studies to PhD level. He is acutely aware of inequalities in access to the arts and the core message of Surge is to show and share the interconnectedness of all things, creating a collaborative community where all can be involved and thrive.
